In the fields of rubber magnets, magnetic plastics, and rubber compounding, the wear resistance, service life, and surface quality of rolls used in magnetic rubber sheet rolling mills are key indicators for assessing the quality and cost-effectiveness of magnetic rubber sheets, directly impacting both product quality and economic benefits of enterprises. Although rolls are expensive and prone to wear, electroplating with hard chrome is commonly employed to enhance their wear resistance and extend their service life. However, even with this treatment, the wear resistance remains insufficient, with service lives ranging from only 1 to 3 months—far from meeting operational requirements. To further improve the wear resistance and service life of these rolls, Guangzhou Sanxin Company has successfully developed, using advanced thermal spraying technology, tungsten carbide-coated rolls specifically designed for magnetic rubber sheet rolling mills, achieving a maximum service life of over two years.

 

Features of WC-coated rolls:

 

High hardness, excellent wear resistance, resistant to abrasion, and capable of reducing roll body wear.

 

Improve product quality, ensure long-term consistency of products, and increase the yield rate of finished products.

 

Its service life is 5 to 8 times that of conventional hard-chrome-plated rollers, reducing spare parts costs.

 

Reduce the number of equipment downtime events for roll changes and improve equipment utilization efficiency.

 

Process flow for the production of WC-coated rolls:

 

Roller of rubber mixing machine → Inspection → Pre-treatment → Pre-protection → Thermal spraying → Inspection

→ Post-coating processing → Inspection → Post-coating treatment → Packaging

 

WC Coating Technical Parameters:

Coating thickness: ≥0.2mm;

Coating hardness: HV ≥ 1100;

Coating adhesion: greater than 70 N/mm²;

Service life: 5 to 8 times that of conventional hard-chrome-plated rollers.
