The primary principle behind supersonic flame spraying equipment is as follows: A mixed gas of fuel gas and oxygen is delivered under high pressure to an ignition zone located at the nozzle outlet, where it is ignited. The annular flow of hot gas is compressed by an external stream of pressurized air, which accelerates it to form a supersonic flame. Under the action of a carrier gas, powder particles are conveyed to the nozzle outlet and then introduced into the combustion flame, where they deposit to form a coating.




The supersonic torch is equipped with a dual-purpose hand-held and machine-mounted torch. The working gases are oxygen and propane. The torch weighs approximately 2 kg, and the spray particle velocity is ≥450 m/s. The torch can operate stably for extended periods.
