As a post-processing step in thermal spraying, the primary tasks of pore sealing involve selecting an appropriate sealing agent and determining the proper application method. If certain workpieces require turning or grinding after spraying, pore sealing should be carried out prior to these operations to prevent contamination of the coating pores and ensure better, cleaner grinding finishes. When ceramic coatings are applied for insulating purposes, pore sealing helps maintain the coating’s dielectric constant. Otherwise, the coating pores could absorb moisture or become contaminated, leading to the formation of unwanted conductive pathways within the coating. Moreover, for equipment such as pumps or hydraulic machines, pore sealing also prevents leakage of liquids and pressure, ensuring reliable sealing performance.

Instructions for Use and Precautions

1 After receiving the product, place the bottle with its mouth facing upward. When opening the cap, avoid bringing your head too close to the bottle’s mouth to prevent sealant from getting into your eyes or nose. If accidentally ingested, immediately rinse your eyes and nose thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of severe irritation, seek medical attention promptly.

After the sealing agent has been applied and allowed to cure naturally for seven days, the neutral salt spray test shall be conducted.
