ABB Further Expands Mid-range Robot Series

The second model in the "Generation Next" robot family, the IRB 2600, is launched with enhanced innovative features. This robot features a compact body and strong load capacity, with an optimized design ideal for arc welding, material handling, loading and unloading, and other target applications. It is available in three models, supporting flexible installation options such as floor-mounted, wall-mounted, pedestal-mounted, inclined, and inverted installations.

Higher Precision

Featuring class-leading precision among similar products, the IRB 2600 delivers faster operation, lower defect rates, and maximized productivity. It plays a pivotal role in arc welding and other precision processes. Its high precision is achieved with ABB’s proprietary TrueMove™ motion control software.

Shorter Cycle Times

The IRB 2600 adopts an optimized design with a compact body, ensuring consistent performance during long-term, unattended operation. Its acceleration time is among the highest in its class, while maximum speed is achieved to boost productivity and efficiency.

Larger Work Envelope

The IRB 2600 offers a generous work envelope and flexible installation options. It can easily reach target equipment without the need for additional auxiliary devices, optimizing robot placement and enhancing operational efficiency. Its versatile installation methods, tailored to various process layouts, bring significant convenience.

Compact Design

Like the IRB 4600, the IRB 2600’s base is compact, allowing it to be positioned close to equipment, minimizing the floor space required for the workcell. Specially designed for downward operation, its arm can work directly below the robot base.

Enhanced Safety

Utilizing Integrated Dress Pack (ID) technology, all dress lines are routed internally within the arm and wrist, reducing cycle time by up to 15% and significantly increasing productivity across all applications.
