Wear-resistant coating for wire-drawing wheel guide pulleys

 

The surfaces of components such as wire-drawing wheels, wire-drawing tower pulleys, wire-drawing cylinders, winding reels, and guide grooves in metal wire-drawing equipment are coated with carbide ceramic coatings. For workpieces with particularly high wear resistance requirements, imported supersonic equipment can be used to apply tungsten carbide (hard alloy) coatings, achieving a hardness of up to HRC7.5. This hardness is significantly higher than that of grinding tool steels or chilled cast irons. Moreover, these components can be manufactured using ordinary steel or cast iron for their substrates, which not only reduces costs but also extends their service life.

 

Wire and cable industry:

Tungsten carbide (ceramic) tower pulleys and guide pulleys for large, medium, and small wire drawing machines—wearing-resistant coating applied by spraying.

Enameling machines (including tinning machines, winding machines, etc.), ceramic guide rollers for coil winding

By applying the supersonic flame spraying process to coat the surfaces of components such as drawing machine tower pulleys, guide pulleys, wire-drawing cylinders, winding reels, and guide grooves with carbide ceramic coatings, the surface hardness can reach HRc75—far exceeding the wear resistance of grinding tool steels or chilled cast irons. Moreover, these components can be manufactured using ordinary steel or cast iron as the substrate material, which not only reduces costs but also significantly extends their service life.
